EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A crash on Transmountain Road left an El Paso man dead Monday afternoon after investigators said a pickup truck made an unsafe lane change and collided with another vehicle.
El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at about 4:38 p.m. to a motor vehicle crash with serious injuries at Mile Marker 20 on Loop 375 westbound.
Special Traffic Investigators responded and took over the investigation.

Investigators said a black Toyota Tacoma was driving westbound in the right lane of Loop 375, while a white Toyota Camry was traveling westbound in the left lane.
The Tacoma made an unsafe lane change and collided with the Camry, according to the preliminary investigation.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
He was identified as 37-year-old Eric Reyes of El Paso.
The investigation remains ongoing.
