Officials are advising residents to avoid the area

ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas – Multiple fire crews and the Texas A&M Forest Service are actively working to extinguish a 300-acre grass fire burning in Atascosa County, according to a Facebook post.
The forest service and the Atascosa County Fire Marshal and Office of emergency management described the fire as the “River Bluff Fire.”
The fire is located between Lytle and Rossville, which is located southwest of San Antonio. Currently, the fire is 40% contained, according to Texas A&M’s Forest Service’s page.
Additional crews on scene battling the fire are from Lytle, Rossville, Pleasanton, Poteet, Jourdanton, Leming, Blackhill and Bexar County, Atascosa County officials said.
At this time, there are no evacuation orders, but the office is advising residents to avoid the area.
