Derrick Majchszak will take on a statewide leadership role representing public transportation agencies and professionals across Texas.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority CEO Derrick Majchszak will now help lead the conversation on public transportation across Texas after being elected president of the Texas Transit Association.

Majchszak was elected during the association’s Board of Directors retreat and meeting, which ended Friday, Aug. 28. He previously served as president-elect.

The Texas Transit Association represents public transportation agencies and professionals across the state and advocates for issues affecting transit systems and the people who use them.

Majchszak said his focus will include ensuring public transportation continues to connect Texans with jobs, schools, medical care and their communities.

“I am honored to serve as TTA President and to advocate for public transportation and the people who depend on it every day,” Majchszak said.

Majchszak has served as CEO of CCRTA since 2023 and has more than 20 years of experience in the public transportation industry.

CCRTA provides public transportation in more than 10 communities across an 846-square-mile service area.
