SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio police officer was critically injured in an accident while helping to escort a funeral procession on Tuesday, according to San Antonio fire officials.
The crash happened before 2 p.m. near U.S. Highway 281 and Loop 1604.
An official with the San Antonio Fire Department said an officer on a motorcycle was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
We’re told the officer was transported in critical condition but is expected to be ok.
