HOUSTON – Police were looking for a driver who hit two people, killing one of them, outside a party in southeast Houston.
Investigators said a man was walking on Kassarine Pass and Dieppe Street at about 1 a.m. Sunday.
“We were told by witnesses that there was some kind of party that was taking place here. It was a large gathering of people, and our victim was an attendee at one of these parties,” said Sgt. Barrow with the Houston Police Department.
They said a driver in a red GMC truck was going at a “high rate of speed” and hit the man.
The victim died at Ben Taub Hospital.
The driver was believed to be in a red GMC truck.
Houston police later said the driver also hit another person before hitting the victim, but they had minor injuries.
