A slightly warmer day is expected across the area Wednesday. Temperatures will range from the upper 90s to the lower 100s. Winds will be from the southwest at about 5-10 mph, with wind gusts up to 20 mph. Mostly sunny conditions are expected for the first half of the day, with clouds beginning to build across the area by the afternoon. A slim chance (10%) for spotty showers is possible across the western portions of the area. All shower activity should stay near the Texas/New Mexico state line.

Mild temperatures are expected for the area Wednesday night. Lows will range from the upper 60s to the middle 70s. Winds will be from the southeast at about 5-10 mph. A partly cloudy sky will turn mostly clear by midnight. Any lingering showers in eastern New Mexico should dimmish by sunset, leaving mostly dry conditions.
