EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 21-year-old motorcyclist died Monday afternoon after a collision at the intersection of Pebble Hills Boulevard and Nolan Richardson Drive, according to El Paso police.
Police said officers responded about 3:23 p.m. to a crash involving a 2019 Mazda CX-9 and a 2007 Kawasaki ZX6 motorcycle.
Investigators said the Mazda was driving east on Pebble Hills while the motorcycle was traveling west at a high rate of speed, officials said.
The Mazda driver attempted to turn left onto Nolan Richardson when the motorcycle struck the vehicle, police said.

The motorcycle rider, identified as Eric Scott Spink of El Paso, was thrown from the motorcycle and later died from his injuries.
The Mazda driver was accompanied by two child passengers, police said.
Police said failure to yield the right of way and speed were contributing factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
Spink’s death marked El Paso’s 40th traffic fatality of 2026, compared with 41 at the same time last year.
