FABENS, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Authorities have released the identities of two suspects in connection with a police chase and carjacking in Fabens involving migrants.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 21-year-old Tissiana Anahi Gonzalez and 18-year-old Ryan Emmons were arrested on August 27 after they allegedly led authorities on a chase on I-10 that was caught on video.

DPS said it all started at around 9:15 a.m. when troopers were called to help Border Patrol chase after a gray Cadillac CTS suspected of carrying undocumented migrants.

DPS stated that the Cadillac was stopped after a trooper used “stop sticks” to disable the car; however, the chase didn’t end there.

According to DPS, both Gonzalez and Emmons– as well as three migrants– ran out of the car.

Gonzalez and the migrants were caught, but Emmons allegedly continued running, making it to a nearby gas station.

At the gas station, DPS said Emmons allegedly used a pellet gun to steal a Chevrolet Malibu from an innocent bystander.

Emmons reportedly continued the chase until Troopers used a PIT maneuver to stop and arrest him.

Both suspects were taken to the El Paso County downtown jail

Gonzalez was charged with Smuggling of Persons and Evading, meanwhile Emmons was charged with aggravated robbery, smuggling of persons, evading with a vehicle and evading on foot, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and possession of marihuana.

Border Patrol took custody of the migrants.

Authorities released video showing moments from the chase, and the popular social media account @therealfitfamelpaso shared video showing the aftermath of the carjacking, where it appears the victim, a woman, was left shaken and scared.
