Zac Posen, luxury designer and now creative director of Gap Inc., has hand-designed 20 pieces for the GapStudio 2026 Fall line, available in only 20 stores worldwide, and the NorthPark store just happens to be one of them.
The line, which is billed as “A Study In American Utility And Proportion,” plays on the traditional workwear cuts typical of American fashion staples, featuring balloon sleeves on everyday pinstripe button-downs, traditional fine-pleated army green trousers in modern cuts and finely tailored jackets with exaggerated collars.
In 2024, Posen became the creative director of Gap Inc., breathing fresh life into the American brand noted for it’s trademark basics. Under Posen’s direction, the brand has revitalized, finding younger audiences attracted to the elevated basics bolstered by Posen’s atelier experience.

“With the Fall GapStudio collection, we continued to evolve Gap’s design language by looking at some of the most familiar pieces in the American wardrobe through a more architectural lens,” says Posen in a press release. “There’s a play between utility and sensuality, precision and ease, and the familiar and unexpected. It’s about evolution rather than nostalgia.”
Posen has a long history in Dallas, and was one of the youngest designers featured at Neiman Marcus’ annual Crystal Charity Ball Fashion Show and Luncheon in 2017.
“Dallas ladies love fashion,” Posen said in 2017. “They love to dress, and it’s like nowhere else in the world. The closest I’ve seen in my travels over the years maybe is in Singapore and Shanghai.”
The line launched online on Aug. 28, and select items are already sold-out, so try your luck and head to NorthPark for a chance to snag one of the pieces.
