Houston – The Houston Texans are bringing a little more H-Town to the football field.
The team’s new HOUSTON/US Rivalries uniform and merchandise collection are officially on sale. The a design created in collaboration with Nike and the NFL that celebrates the city through details inspired by Houston’s streets, landmarks and culture.
Texans Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Doug Vosik helped lead the creative process behind the uniform. He says the goal was to create a look that tells a distinctly Houston story.
The uniform features Houston’s signature blue-and-white street tiles, inspiration from the iconic “Be Someone” bridge and nods to the city’s custom car culture.
One of the biggest changes is the helmet. The Texans are introducing their first-ever Liberty White helmet, a tribute to the original helmet prototype shown by late team founder Robert C. McNair in 1999, before the franchise ultimately adopted its Deep Steel Blue helmet.

The helmet also features blue-and-white tile details spelling out “H-Town” and “Texans,” while the chrome H-Town Blue facemask pays tribute to Houston’s car culture.
The Houston influence continues onto the jersey. The numbers are inspired by the stenciled lettering on the “Be Someone” bridge, while the nameplate uses a tiled font based on Houston’s iconic street signs.

For Houston Texans Cheerleader Kelly, that detail has special meaning.
“I think my favorite part is wearing that Bullhead logo on our heart because that’s what we’re all about: hustle and heart,” she said.
The HOUSTON/US message continues inside the jersey collar, representing the team’s connection to the 8 million people who call Houston home.
Fans can now get in on the new look, too. Rivalries merchandise is available at the Houston Texans Team Shop and online, giving fans a chance to show their H-Town pride before the uniforms make their on-field debut.
The Texans will wear the HOUSTON/US Rivalries uniforms for the first time in Week 11 when they host the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football.
