Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Dan Patrick once hung out in 2019. That’s not a joke.

Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has announced that he will return to North Texas for a show at AT&T Stadium on Nov. 7.

The newly announced Arlington date comes as part of Ye’s ongoing 2026 world tour in support of his latest record, “Bully.” A Houston show on Oct. 31 and a Phoenix show on Nov. 21 were also among the string of shows announced on Wednesday. Fans in North Texas will find the show particularly notable, as live performances from the controversial rapper have become increasingly rare. He has not performed a proper concert in the Dallas area in a decade, with his last major stop coming during the Saint Pablo Tour in 2016. A lot has changed since then.

So far, 11 of the concerts on the current tour have been canceled for various reasons: security concerns, unsigned contracts and Ye’s history of antisemitism.

Ye remains one of the most polarizing figures in contemporary music, with years of public controversy often surrounding his career. At the same time, his ability to generate both enormous interest and discourse around his live appearances has hardly disappeared.

In July of this year, he performed at San Antonio’s Alamodome, despite disapproval from the city’s mayor, Gina Ortiz Jones, who argued that city-funded venues should not support artists with a history of hate speech. The concert moved forward, selling roughly 61,000 tickets. AT&T Stadium does receive public funding from the city, but Mayor Jim Ross hasn’t issued any statements so far.

Exactly what Ye has planned for Dallas seems to be the one somewhat predictable part of an unpredictable personality. Judging by his recent concerts, we can expect to see him rapping and performing on top of a dome dressed up like the Earth as he performs all his classics and fan favorites.

And if the demand surrounding his other recent performances is any indication, tickets for the AT&T Stadium show could move quickly. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m.
