Labor Day weekend is bringing one last burst of summer fun to North Texas, with festivals, live music, a train ride and family-friendly events on the calendar.
Here are six events happening around Dallas-Fort Worth.

9TH ANNUAL RIVERFRONT JAZZ FESTIVAL
Listen to live jazz, R&B, soul, blues and neo-soul music at the Riverfront Jazz Festival. There will be performances by Gladys Knight, Samara Joy, King George and more artists.

DALLAS LATINO FILM FESTIVAL
The free two-day festival will celebrate Latino filmmakers and feature narrative, documentary, animation and experimental films made by emerging filmmakers, students and established professionals. There will also be screenings, workshops, panels, Q&As, networking and celebration of Latino films.
Sept. 4 from 6 to 10:30 p.m., and Sept. 5 from 12:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Latino Cultural Center, 2600 Live Oak, Dallas. Free. lcc.dallasculture.org.
LATE NIGHT AT THE DMA
This year’s first Meet Me at the Museum Late Nights will let attendees explore the museum after hours, listen to live entertainment, participate in art activities, play games, go on scavenger hunts, see the special exhibitions, listen to guest speakers and other creative activities. This year there will be special partnerships with Visit Dallas, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Broadway Dallas for creative activities and guest appearances. Plus a new VIP section for members.
The upcoming Late Nights will take place on Sept. 4, Nov. 13, Jan. 15, March 12 and May 14 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood St., Dallas. Admission is free for DMA members, $25 for the public general admission, DMA Member VIP Night Lounge is $112 and Public VIP Late Night Lounge is $125. dma.org.
DINO DAYS AT PEROT MUSEUM
During Labor Day weekend, museum visitors will get to participate in dino-themed activities, food and drinks, plus watch the 3D film T. Rex, that explores the life and times of the iconic dinosaur.
Sept. 5 and 6 at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, 2201 N. Field St., Dallas. Tickets with film included are $6 for members and $25-35 for non-members. perotmuseum.org.
DFW TOY & CAR MUSEUM LABOR DAY CAR SHOW
Kick back on Labor Day and enjoy time with friends and family while looking at cars. Sixty awards will be given out to the best cars for categories like best of show, sponsor’s choice, under construction, special interest, late model, rat rod, cycle and more.

LABOR DAY TRAIN
Take a 45-minute round-trip excursion from the Grapevine Vintage Railroad along the Historic Cotton Belt Route to the Historic Stockyards. There will be live entertainment on board.
