SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police officers said they are investigating a crash that killed two people early Wednesday morning.
First responders were dispatched just before 1:30 a.m. in the 6100 block of Northwest Loop 1604, which is located near Culebra Road.
According to an SAPD preliminary report, officers found two people who have yet to be identified. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the driver traveled at a high rate of speed before it struck another vehicle, left the roadway and collided with a median. The vehicle then went down an embankment and rolled over several times before coming to a stop, police said.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine their identities and official causes of deaths.
