EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking for your help in identifying a man who robbed a convenience store and burglarized a restaurant in East El Paso.

This is this week’s Crime of the Week as publicized by Crime Stoppers.

Shortly before midnight on Monday, Oct. 20, a man walked into a Circle K convenience store, located at 1400 Lee Trevino, and attempted to steal various alcoholic beverages.

As the clerk confronted the man, the man threw a can at the clerk, injuring him, according to Crime Stoppers. The man then fled the store.

Later, the man entered Evolution Meal Prep, a restaurant located at 1360 Lee Trevino. The restaurant was closed at the time of the incident.

He then damaged two cash registers and took an undisclosed amount of cash, Crime Stoppers said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, light-complexioned with an average height and build.
