Former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke made some stops in the Bishop Arts District last week.
On Monday, Aug. 25, the Texas Democrat picked up “a lox on a sesame bagel with scallion schmear, capers, tomatoes and onions” from Trades Delicatessen for breakfast, according to an article by the Dallas Morning News.
O’Rourke was in North Texas for events with Powered by People, a political action committee he founded in 2019, at the University of North Texas in Denton on Aug. 25, and later traveled to Tarleton State University in Stephenville on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
Apparently, Bishop Arts made a mark on O’Rourke. He came back to our neighborhood on Thursday, Aug. 27, and had lunch at the new location of Tribal All Day Cafe.
The shop posted the visit on Instagram on Friday, Aug. 28: Word around the neighborhood is a certain someone stopped by yesterday… Beto, if you’re reading this — thanks for stopping in!
