EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — New toll rates for commercial vehicles took effect Sept. 1 at three El Paso international ports of entry.
The changes apply at the Ysleta-Zaragoza, Stanton-Lerdo and Paso del Norte international bridges, which are managed by the City of El Paso International Bridges Department.
Under the new rate structure, commercial vehicles using prepaid accounts will pay $4.50 per axle, while vehicles paying cash at the booth will pay $5 per axle.
That means the new commercial tolls are:
Two axles: $9 prepaid; $10 cashThree axles: $13.50 prepaid; $15 cashFour axles: $18 prepaid; $20 cashFive axles: $22.50 prepaid; $25 cashSix axles: $27 prepaid; $30 cash
City officials said toll revenue supports the operation and maintenance of El Paso’s international bridges and helps promote safe and efficient cross-border travel.
Commercial drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and review the updated rates before their next crossing.
