Houston – Get ready for a night of music, comedy and plenty of drama when “Miss Dee’s Kitchen” comes to the Hobby Center this weekend.
The musical comedy, written and directed by Katrina Walker, centers around Miss Dee and the colorful characters who find their way into her kitchen. Walker also stars as Miss Dee, a lively character inspired by real people from her childhood.
The production mixes humor, music and unexpected twists, with everything from nosy neighbors to a mailman and plenty of secrets. Walker says audiences can expect to laugh, cry and maybe even recognize a few familiar personalities along the way.
“Miss Dee’s Kitchen” has been entertaining audiences for about a decade and is making its way to Houston for one night only at the Hobby Center.
