SAN ANTONIO – A 17-year-old motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning in a crash involving two pickup trucks on SH 46 near Stoney Creek, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS said troopers responded to the crash Sept. 3, 2026, at about 9 a.m. The preliminary investigation indicates a red Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling westbound on SH 46 when the rider failed to control his speed and traveled between a Ford pickup and a Chevrolet Silverado, striking both vehicles.

DPS said the rider was ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest in the westbound bar ditch. The 17-year-old male rider was pronounced dead at the scene, and next of kin has been notified.

DPS said it is standard practice not to release the names of juveniles involved in traffic crashes. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information was available.
