HOUSTON – Gov. Greg Abbott is expected to make a special announcement Monday evening at the East River 9 Golf Course in Houston’s Fifth Ward.
While Abbott’s team has not disclosed details of the event, the announcement is being organized by his campaign, not his official office — signaling potential political undertones rather than a government initiative.
According to a news release, Abbott plans to “lay out his vision for the future of Texas.”
Ahead of the governor’s remarks, national radio host Joe Pags will moderate a roundtable featuring Texans who credit the state’s conservative Republican leadership for their success.
The event marks Abbott’s latest public appearance as speculation continues about his long-term political ambitions and the direction of Texas’ GOP leadership.
