One person was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a Corpus Christi apartment late Thursday night.
Firefighters responded to the apartment at 933 McDonald Street around 10:52 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found flames coming from the back of the one-story building. Firefighters quickly put out the fire, which was contained to a room and its contents.
Crews searched the apartment to make sure no one else was inside. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist those affected by the fire.
A fire investigator was called to the scene. The cause of the fire has not been released. 3NEWS will provide updates as more information becomes available.
