SAN ANTONIO — Labor Day weekend will bring families and friends together across the nation as many residents mark the unofficial end of summer.

The three-day weekend is expected to include barbecues, outdoor gatherings, and travel plans for many residents.

Labor Day is observed annually on the first Monday in September to recognize the contributions of American workers.
