FBI Dallas is hosting a career expo where candidates can hear directly from FBI employees who are looking to hire special agents, forensic accountants, intelligence analysts, linguists, IT specialists and investigative analysts.
“The more folks that we’re able to get into those spots to investigate, we can get them off the streets faster,” Holly Kelley, Asst. Special Agent in Charge of FBI Dallas said.
The hiring event on September 21st in Grapevine comes as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Raybould announced a record-high number of 100-plus Assistant U.S. Attorneys, hiring 40 AUAs in just 10 months as DFW remains on pace to become the third-largest metropolitan area in the U.S.
“We’re looking for those who are wanting to uphold the oath to protect the American people,” Kelley said.
Kelley said FBI Dallas is looking for candidates from all backgrounds and experience levels that can help keep North Texas safe.
FBI Dallas says there’s been a 9.4% drop in violent crime in North Texas since 2024.
Along with fighting violent crime, the field office is looking for more employees to help carry out its mission, including the fight against fentanyl and cartels through its law enforcement and intelligence branches, Kelley said.
“Whether it be criminal investigations with crimes against children, white collar, or you’re going to national security threats like cyber, counterintelligence, counterterrorism,” Kelley said.
