Fort Worth

Leon Bridges is returning to ”The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” next week.

The Fort Worth singer will appear on the NBC series on Thursday, Sept. 10, just over two weeks before his new album “Happiness Anytime” releases on Sept. 25. Nicole Kidman and Domhnall Gleeson will also be on the episode.

This will be Bridges’ sixth time on the “Tonight Show” and his latest since he performed “That’s What I Love” on the program nearly two years ago.

His first appearance came back in 2015 for his debut album “Coming Home,” where he sang the title track. He returned to perform “Beyond” off “Good Thing” in 2018, followed by a joint performance with Noah Cyrus in 2019 for her song “July,” and then in 2021 Bridges sang “Steam” off “Gold-Diggers Sound.”

🎬 In case you missed it:

Bridges’ “Happiness Anytime” is inspired by soul, disco, Afrobeat, Brazilian music and South American rhythms.

“It’s music you can put on no matter how you’re feeling and be immediately transported somewhere coastal and warm,” the album description reads. “In crafting the album, Leon Bridges focused on feeling, storytelling, and his vocal performance.”

After his “Tonight Show” performance, but before the album drops, Bridges will perform at Fort Worth’s Bowie House hotel on Sept. 13.
