CORPUS CHRISTI — The top-ranked Goliad Tigerettes saw their record slip to 23-4 after Corpus Christi Flour Bluff took a 25-17, 25-22, 25-21 non-district volleyball victory Friday, Sept. 4.
Ella Ulbricht led the Tigerettes offensively with nine kills and also contributed two blocks and eight digs.
Addison Yendrey finished with seven kills, a team-high four blocks and seven digs, while Sophi Wallek recorded five kills, one block and one dig.
Isabel Sanchez directed the Goliad offense with 22 assists. Sanchez also contributed 14 digs and one block.
Kinlee Weiser finished with one kill, one ace, one block and six digs.
Sierra Arriazola shared the team lead in digs with Sanchez, recording 14. Arriazola also served one of Goliad’s two aces.
Maely Brandes added four digs, while Brynlee Janak and Kensley Buenger each recorded one.
At the net, Goliad totaled nine blocks among five players. Yendrey led the way with four, followed by Ulbricht with two. Weiser, Sanchez and Wallek each had one.
Goliad will travel to La Vernia on Tuesday, Sept. 8, for its next match.
