El Paso County sheriff’s deputies arrested two people and seized two guns, money, fentanyl pills and other illicit drugs during an Aug. 29 traffic stop in Cimarron Hills, the Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday.
Pretson Reno, 48, and Amanda Pacheco-Sammon, 43, were both taken into custody on $50,000 bonds following the stop.
Deputies stopped the vehicle at about 9:30 p.m. near Peterson Road and Panamint Court and saw a gun and drug paraphernalia “in plain view” in the car, law enforcement officials said.
Both Reno and Pacheco-Sammon will face charges of possession of a weapon by a previous offender and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Pacheco-Sammon also was charged with unlawful distribution, manufacture, dispensing or sale of a controlled substance.
Reno additionally faces charges of aggravated driving after revocation and other traffic offenses.
