A man is recovering after police say he was ejected from his vehicle in a crash along U.S. Highway 281 near Loop 410.
SAN ANTONIO — A 26-year-old man was hospitalized after he was ejected from his vehicle during a crash early Saturday on the north side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
SAPD said the crash happened around 2:47 a.m. along northbound U.S. Highway 281 near Northeast Loop 410.
The man was driving northbound on U.S. 281 in the exit lane for Loop 410 when he attempted to change lanes to remain on U.S. 281, according to SAPD.
The vehicle struck an impact attenuator, causing the vehicle to flip before coming to a stop, police said.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and initially suffered life-threatening injuries, according to SAPD. His condition was later updated to non-life-threatening after he arrived at a local hospital.
