EL PASO, Texas (KFOX 14, CBS4) — Week 2 of the school football season kicked off with three games in El Paso.
The Pebble Hills Spartans defeated the Chapin Huskies 35-14. The game was scoreless through the first quarter, but finally opened up in the second. Pebble Hills led 14-7 at the half and dominated coming out of the break.
Pebble Hills moves to 2-0. Chapin falls to 1-1.
The Andress Eagles outlasted the Americas Trail Blazers 57-55 in late night shootout. In the third quarter, Andress trailed by as many as 15 points. The Eagles battled back and a Jamari Milton touchdown with less than a minute to go proved to be the game winner.
Andress moves to 2-0. Americas falls to 0-2.
The Socorro Bulldogs defeated the Bel Air Highlanders 34-28 in another back and forth game at the SAC. Socorro moves to 1-1. Bel Air falls to 0-2.
