SAN ANTONIO – A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper crashed into another driver while responding to an active pursuit on Sunday morning.
According to DPS, the trooper was driving south on Blanco Road with emergency lights and siren on around 10 a.m. as they approached the intersection of Jackson Keller Road.
The trooper slowed for a red light before continuing through the intersection, where a Mercedes traveling east on Jackson Keller Road entered on a green light and struck the patrol vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
The pursuit eventually ended in the 300 block of Craigmont Lane, where DPS arrested 39-year-old Juan Sanchez, who was charged with evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle.
