United Airlines will debut its “Elevated” Boeing 787-9 long-haul service from Houston on October 24, marking its first regular deployment at the hub.The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner features Polaris business-class suites with sliding privacy doors, including eight Polaris Studio suites with larger 27-inch 4K screens. Initial routes from George Bush Intercontinental serve São Paulo, Tokyo, and Sydney, with London Heathrow joining on January 5.The aircraft seats 222 passengers, with 99 across Polaris and Premium Plus, and economy cabins offering the carrier’s largest seatback screens on long-haul jets.As of earlier this year, the airline anticipated receiving twenty configured 787-9s during 2026. Polaris Base fares are not eligible for upgrades into the Studio product.
