SAN ANTONIO — California-based fast-food chain In-N-Out Burger is expanding its footprint in San Antonio with plans to open a fourth location at The Merc, a $350 million mixed-use development near the UTSA campus.
According to Culture Map San Antonio, the popular burger brand will join the 112-acre center on UTSA Boulevard on the city’s Northwest Side. In-N-Out has not yet announced an opening date.
The Merc is being designed to hold multi-family housing, a golf park, a beer garden, food trucks, and flexible green space. The development will feature 1,600 apartment units and 200,000 square feet of commercial and retail space.
In-N-Out is the latest food vendor to join the project’s restaurant lineup alongside Hawaiian Bros. Island Grill, Canadian brunch café Pür & Simple, and Sora Sushi, a new sushi concept from the founders Wild Goji. The slate of new restaurants is set to open in 2027.
