A DPS trooper was responding to an active pursuit when another vehicle struck the patrol unit at a north-side intersection. No injuries were reported.
SAN ANTONIO — A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper’s patrol vehicle was hit while the trooper was responding to an active pursuit on San Antonio’s north side Sunday morning, officials said.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. at Blanco and Jackson Keller roads.
According to DPS, the trooper was traveling south on Blanco Road with emergency lights and siren activated. Investigators said the trooper slowed at a red light before proceeding through the intersection.

A white Mercedes traveling east on Jackson Keller Road entered the intersection on a green light and struck the passenger-side rear of the DPS vehicle, officials said.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
DPS said the pursuit continued and eventually ended in the 300 block of Craigmont Lane. Juan Sanchez, 39, was arrested and charged with evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle.
The crash and circumstances surrounding the pursuit remain under investigation.
The allegations against Sanchez are accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
