Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West has a fall calendar filled with interactive dinners, classes and unexpected experiences

Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West is bringing a season full of experiences designed to turn an ordinary night out into something a little more memorable. This fall, guests can step inside a speakeasy for Prohibition-era cocktails, solve a murder over dinner, paint with coffee or unwind during a floating sound bath.

Across the hotel’s Whiskey Moon, speakeasy and Zen Pool + Bar, the lineup offers plenty of reasons to gather, whether for date night, an evening with friends or simply something different to do during the week.

Cocktails With A Twist

For those who would rather make the cocktail than simply order one, The Art of the Pour puts guests behind the bar. During the monthly interactive class, Whiskey Moon bartenders guide participants through making three seasonal cocktails while sharing techniques that can be recreated at home.

The hotel’s speakeasy provides a different setting for Booze & Bootleggers, a cocktail class inspired by the Prohibition era. Guests craft two to three period-inspired cocktails before settling into the speakeasy to enjoy what they’ve made.

And for an evening where the drinks come with a little mystery, there’s Murder & Moonshine.

The monthly murder mystery dinner takes over the speakeasy with a performance by a local troupe. Guests enjoy a prix-fixe dinner while becoming immersed in the night’s mystery, turning dinner into part meal, part show and part whodunit.

Coffee Becomes The Canvas

Not every creative night at the hotel revolves around a cocktail shaker. Martinis & Masterpieces brings in local business Charles Ray’s Coffee Roasters for an experience combining coffee, cocktails and art. Guests begin with an espresso martini made using Charles Ray’s coffee beans. Then those same coffee-inspired flavors take on a new role as participants create a painting using coffee.

It’s one of several experiences this season that pairs the hotel’s food and beverage offerings with something guests can actually do together.

Learn A New Game Over Dinner

Select Wednesdays are reserved for Mah Jong Nights, with sessions designed for both first-time and experienced players. A local mah jong instructor leads different levels of play, giving beginners a chance to learn the game while more seasoned players can opt for open play.

Guests can also order food from Whiskey Moon while they play, making the evening an easy midweek alternative to the usual dinner out.

Slow Down Poolside

For an entirely different kind of Wednesday night, the hotel’s Floating Sound Baths trade conversation and cocktails for a little quiet. Hosted by a local vendor at Zen Pool + Bar on select Wednesdays, the guided meditation experience allows participants to take part while floating in the pool. Those who prefer to stay dry can experience the session from a lounge chair instead.

Zen Pool + Bar is also home to the hotel’s Poolside Brunch, offered on Sundays. Guests can choose from a prix-fixe brunch menu before staying to swim and spend the afternoon poolside, a way to stretch the last warm-weather weekends a little longer.
