SAN ANTONIO – Some impressive performances from some of our top teams.

With no severe weather in Week 2, teams were able to get into more of a rhythm, and it showed.

Smithson Valley’s Caleb Peagler 18-yd touchdown

The Smithson Valley Rangers found a groove early on Thursday Night Lights.

Running back Caleb Peagler was a one-man wrecking crew.

Nice 18-yard run here, diving across the pylon.

He didn’t rush for very many yards, but he sure put a dent in the scoreboard with four rushing touchdowns in the first half.

Brennan’s Brewster 45-yard fumble return

Our next nominee this week is from the Brennan Bears.

Their defense was playing with their hair on fire against Reagan.

Nehemiah Lopez causes the fumble, and this thing was loose for a while.

Finally, Jonas Brewster scoops it up, and talk about a fantastic effort.

He refuses to go down, trying to get some blocks from his teammates. He does, taking it back 45 yards for the scoop and score.

The Bears’ defense shut out Reagan in a rout.

And our final nominee this week might sound familiar.

Southwest’s Ryan Garay 80-yard kickoff return

Southwest return man Ryan Garay returned a punt for a touchdown last week.

Teams might have to reconsider kicking to him because he returned a kickoff 80 yards against Marshall to give the Dragons a spark in Week 2.

Some impressive stuff from Garay in back-to-back weeks on special teams.

So now it is your turn to get in the game and make your voice heard.
