The collision occurred in the 4700 block of Interstate 35 South
SAN ANTONIO – A man died after he was involved in a crash with a crane truck Sunday evening on the South Side, according to San Antonio police.
Officers responded around 5:19 p.m. to the 4700 block of Interstate 35 South, which is located near West Southcross Boulevard.
Authorities said a man, who was yet to be identified, was driving a Kia Forte southbound when he struck a crane truck on the driver’s side of his vehicle.
Police said the man was unresponsive at the scene and was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
At this time, it’s unclear what caused the driver to hit the truck.
The crash remains under investigation. Further information was not readily available.
