AT&T service disruptions are affecting thousands of customers Monday across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to a company post on X.

The company is under a “red alert” for a fiber outage affecting over 7,000 families, according to the post.
“Our local engineering teams are fully deployed and actively working to restore the network,” the post said.
Due to the magnitude of the outage, there was no estimated restoration time as of 3:53 p.m.
Downdetector data shows an initial surge of outages shortly after 2:15 a.m. before a spike about 2:17 p.m., when there were over 5,000 reports submitted. The outage reports have slightly decreased, and by 6 p.m., the latest data showed 380 reports.
The Dallas Morning News contacted an AT&T spokesperson for further information on the impacted areas but didn’t immediately hear back.
