CASTLE HILLS, Texas — Castle Hills firefighters are investigating whether two overnight brush fires were intentionally set.
The fires were reported within an hour of each other after 11 p.m. on Monday.
The first broke out in a brushy area behind Antonian High School near West Avenue and Jackson Keller, while the second was reported behind CW Flooring off Northwest Loop 410 and Jackson Keller Road.
Fire crews said at least two acres burned between the two fires, but firefighters were able to contain and extinguish them quickly.
At one point, the San Antonio Police helicopter was called in to search for a possible suspect. Investigators said the fires may be connected and noted this is the fourth fire reported in the same area within the last month.
Later this morning, investigators plan to check with nearby businesses for surveillance video that could help identify whoever is responsible.
