DALLAS, Texas (KCBD) – The Big 12 has filed paperwork to drop its own lawsuit against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Texas Tech, the Texas Tech University System and university leaders.
The conference is asking the judge to dismiss the case “with prejudice,” meaning the Big 12 cannot come back later with the same claims.
The filing went into federal court in Dallas on Friday.
The conference has not said why it is backing off the lawsuit.
