EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An El Paso educator was arrested after a 14-year-old boy told detectives he had been sexually assaulted over several months by someone he met through a dating app, according to a criminal complaint affidavit.
Armando Guadalupe Saucedo, 38, is accused of sexual assault of a child.
Saucedo is listed on the Socorro Independent School District as an Educational Diagnostician in the Special Education Department.
The alleged offenses occurred between Nov. 1, 2025, and Aug. 29, 2026, the affidavit states.
El Paso police officers were called Sept. 6 to a home on the city’s West Side for a reported burglary of a habitation.
According to the affidavit, the child’s mother found Saucedo inside her son’s closet. She began hitting the suspect and was screaming, “Get the F*** out of my house.”
Police took Saucedo into custody at the home.
The boy initially told officers he did not know Saucedo, but later told investigators he knew him and had allowed him inside the residence after meeting him through an app, the affidavit states.
During a forensic interview, the boy told detectives he and Saucedo began communicating through the apps Sniffles and Snapchat.
The boy said he told Saucedo he was 14, but Saucedo allegedly said it did not matter and that he had spoken with children before, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit alleges the two first met in person near the end of November 2025 and that Saucedo later went to the boy’s home multiple times.
The boy told investigators Saucedo allegedly engaged in oral sex with him and sexually assaulted him between November 2025 and late August of 2026.
The boy told detectives the most recent alleged encounter happened Aug. 29 in his sister’s bedroom, according to the affidavit.
Investigators also spoke with the boy’s mother, who recalled finding her son standing near a red four-door car after tracking his location during one of the encounters with Saucedo.
She said she followed the vehicle but lost sight of it, the affidavit states.
Police impounded a red four-door vehicle belonging to Saucedo at the scene.
According to the Texas Educator Certificate, Saucedo was previously a classroom teacher who taught core subjects with STR grades from 2021-2026. He was then a Special Education teacher also from 2021-2026. And later was also a Bilingual Education Supplemental Spanish teacher from 2022-2026. He became an educational diagnostician from 2024-2026.
