High Point Village receives $200,000 investment for new residential community

  • September 9, 2026

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – High Point Village is preparing to break ground on a new residential community in northwest Lubbock, with two investors contributing funds toward the project.

Lubbock Caprock AMBUCS announced it is committing $100,000 toward the development. The organization made the announcement after previously outlining plans in June to expand and provide independent living options for villagers with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The funding was raised during AMBUCS’ annual Caprock Classic basketball tournament. The donation was matched by a foundation that has chosen to remain anonymous, resulting in a combined $200,000 investment in the new High Point Village project.

Groundbreaking ceremony set for next week

Lubbock AMBUCS and High Point Village are celebrating the project with a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at noon at High Point Village, near County Road 6300 and North Milwaukee Avenue.

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, villagers, their families, High Point Village leaders and AMBUCS members are invited to attend to mark the milestone and the progress toward bringing the new homes to life.
