Two workers were arrested and detained by ICE at Cisco’s in Austin after a traffic stop involving Texas Department of Public Safety officials. The workers were identified as Ramon Avilez-Frias and Maria Del Pilar Moreno-Loredo, and both were taken into custody because they lacked lawful immigration status. Cisco’s said the two long-standing employees were parked outside the Austin Tex-Mex restaurant at 6 a.m. Monday when agents detained and arrested them. An online fundraiser for Avilez-Frias and Moreno-Loredo had raised $1,885 of its $9,000 goal by Tuesday afternoon.
