EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Students at Canutillo and El Paso independent school districts are receiving free admission to athletic events, in an initiative to bring school spirit and support their classmates.
The free admission will be available all school year long.
Middle and High school students at both Canutillo ISD and El Paso ISD must show a current school-issued ID to enter the events for free. If not, the student will have to pay the regular student admission.
Elementary students at Canutillo ISD can enter the events if they wear a school shirt, while El Paso ISD elementary students may attend without an ID.
Canutillo ISD families who have purchased a student season pass will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment, according to the school district.
Students at Ysleta Independent School District can also enter athletic events for free if they show their YISD High School Spirit Debit Card provided by Raiz Federal Credit Union.
