South Plains Food Bank expands meals to more than 75 schools

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The South Plains Food Bank is now providing meals to more than 75 schools across the region.

The effort is a new partnership with H-E-B and Communities in Schools of the South Plains.

H-E-B donated $136,000 to the program to support 77 campuses across Lubbock.

The program is intended to help keep kids focused and learning during school.

Food bank representatives say this kind of work is not possible without partnerships and donations like this one.
