It was another big win for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Texas Tech took on BYU this past Saturday in a clash of two top ten teams competing not only for a Big 12 Championship, but for a birth in the College Football Playoff.
Championship Atmosphere in Lubbock
There is no doubt that this past Saturday’s game was among the biggest in the history of Texas Tech Football. Tech is ranked in the top ten and has a real shot of winning the Big 12. The same can be said about BYU. This game was so big that ESPN’s College Gameday came to Lubbock. Students started camping out for the game a week before kick-off.

And yes, the atmosphere at Jones AT&T Stadium was electric. Fans were loud and the Red Raider football team was dominant.
Texas Tech Defeats BYU in Lubbock
Texas Tech defeated BYU 29-7 and honestly, it wasn’t even that close as the Red Raiders offense stalled several times and had to kick field goals. But a win is a win and it was a big one for Texas Tech.

Texas Tech faces UCF on Saturday at 2:30 at Jones AT&T Stadium. UCF comes into Lubbock with a 4-5 record overall, 1-5 in Big 12 play. The game will air on FOX.
