A weather service alert said trained spotters have reported quarter-sized hail in southeast Arlington. Damage to vehicles should be expected. Wind damage to roofs and trees should also be expected.
Currently impacted areas include Arlington, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Glenn Heights, Ovilla, Cedar Hill State Park and Joe Pool Lake, according to the weather service.
Ellis and Johnson counties have been added to the severe thunderstorm warning, which is now valid through 3:30 p.m.
