The University of Texas Longhorns have reached a new milestone following Saturday night’s win over Ohio State, UT now holding the number one spot on the latest Associated Press Top 25 College Football Poll.
Fans were stunned at the striking performance of the Longhorns in their 24-23 victory over the Buckeyes, scoring 3 fourth-quarter touchdowns to erase a 20-point deficit.
Ohio State, previously at number one, dropped to number six in the AP poll released Sunday
It goes down in the books as the largest fourth-quarter rally against a number-one team.
This is the earliest in the season that UT has gone to number one since 1965.
And the Buckeyes now become the first number one team since 1988 to blow a 20-point lead.
