SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for a man who fled the scene of a shooting early Monday morning on the city’s North Side.
Officers responded around 3:11 a.m. to the 3800 block of West Avenue after a woman called police, reporting that she had shot her boyfriend.
Upon arrival, police detained the woman, but the man had already left the scene.
Officers tracked the man to a second location using his ankle monitor data after finding evidence at the scene that indicated he had been struck by gunfire, though they have not yet made contact with him.
The investigation is ongoing.
