Our weather pattern remains consistent. Enough moisture and a consistent sea breeze are kicking off showers and storms near the coast.

Monday’s Rain Timeline:
Monday morning, plenty of dry time in Houston, but the sea breeze keeps showers and storms active along the coast. Rain will try to move inland through the afternoon, but most of the rain will fall apart as it approaches Harris County.
This isn’t an all-day washout; some areas won’t see a single raindrop, while others can pick up a quick downpour.

Monday is another hot day! A heat advisory issued for most of southeast Texas starting at 11 am ending at 6 pm as feels like temperatures climb as hot as 110!
Monday 11 am to 6 pmLate Week Toss Up:
I’m tracking a low-pressure system that will move into the Gulf late in the week; as it approaches, it could feed more moisture west into Houston, which would increase rain chances. However, I have reservations about how far the moisture will make it into southeast Texas because there is a chance a trough could push it back east before it arrives.
Mid to late week, a chance for increase in moisture
Tracking the tropics:
The Atlantic has one disturbance that has a low chance of development of the next 7 days.

So far this hurricane season, we have not had a hurricane form in the Atlantic basin. The latest first hurricane to form was Gustav and Humberto, which formed on September 11th. This means our 2026 hurricane season set a record for the latest hurricane to form.

There is a chance of thunderstorms every. Temperatures are near average for this time of year, and do you see the end of the 10-day? There is a chance we get our first cold front of the season Sunday the 20th. I’ll keep you posted if this really moves through Houston.
