A 35-year-old man died in a crash Sunday during a pursuit by Seagoville police, according to a statement from the Dallas Police Department.
Officers were attempting to stop a fleeing stolen vehicle when the man driving crashed, Seagoville police said. Tyler S. Burnett died at the scene, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled accidental.
The wreck occurred at the intersection of Jordan Valley Road and Middlefield Road in the city of Dallas, Dallas police said.
Officers are still investigating whether another person was inside the vehicle and fled before officers arrived at the crash, Seagoville police said.
