The red carpet and sophisticated sushi bar has a new life in Picazo Sushi Fort Worth.
The new tenants at 3113 University Drive are officially in their soft opening phase. All menu items are 30 to 50 percent off until Friday.
Picazo moved into the former Megu French Japanese restaurant located in the ground level of the bronze office building across from the TCU Campus Store. Megu was an upscale sushi restaurant known for fish flown in daily from Japan.
Picazo originally opened in Dallas in 2022. They serve sushi in creative forms like specialty rolls, sushi burgers — even sushi tacos. They also serve poke bowls and ramen.
Another Dallas-based poke restaurant is opening less than a mile down the street on TCU Campus called Pine Isle. As of the end of July, the restaurant is more than halfway through renovations and is beginning to hire.
About Fort Worth’s new Picazo Sushi
The Picazo Sushi menu varies between $10 and $20, selling sushi rolls, ramen and poke bowls.
The sushi burger consists of two crispy rice “buns” filled with the contents of a sushi roll. The taco is similar, with a crispy tempura shell filled with fish and veggies.
They have the classic California, Philadelphia and rainbow rolls, and also spicy tuna on crispy rice, sashimi and nigiri.
Their poke bowls offer two choices of protein with a base of crab mix, cucumber, corn, carrot, edamame with other toppings and sauce of choice.
