SAN ANTONIO – A man was killed early Wednesday after police say he was run over by an 18-wheeler on the Northeast Side.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on the eastbound access road of Loop 410, just before North Vandiver Road.
Police said the victim was found on the ground when a UPS 18-wheeler ran over him. A witness told officers the man was already in the roadway before the truck reached him.
Investigators are working to determine whether the victim may have been struck by another vehicle that left the scene before the 18-wheeler arrived.
The victim’s identity has not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
